Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #9...

A life without love is like a year without summer. -Swedish Proverb

Sorry I am SO late today, I have barely been home this whole week and was gone for all of the last 2 days...

I have a fun weekend that included lots of sun and a few yummy cocktails, so I thought this yummy cupcake by Applegum Kitchen was appropriate! Happy Summer!!

I would love to have you play along and create a card inspired by this cupcake...if you do, please link your creation in the comments section of this post and use Keyword CIC9 if you upload it to an online Gallery.

I used the colors, the drink and the striped background as my inspiration and this is what I came up with...

The layout of this card is from THIS sketch from Stamp Something.

Supplies:
Stamps: Flower Drinks, Cheers to you MA (a muse art stamps)
Paper: Kraft CS (Memory Box,) Wonderful (Pink Paislee,) Kitchen Dot (a muse)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento,) Copic Markers
Misc: Clear Crystal Dots, Jewel Stickers, Crystal Stickles, Pop-up Glue Dots

Beaming for you...

Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Today is Blogger's Challenge day, the challenge this week is Graduation. I had a special order for a Red and Black Grad card so this was perfect! I knew immediately that I wanted to use the Digital Grad Anya image, the layout is courtesy of Mercy, who was this week's Featured Stamper on SCS. There are Loads of Polka dots on this card for JBelle's Tuesday Challenge, so I guess this card it a Triple Challenge Card!!

I colored the image with Koh-i-noor Pencils and OMS and highlighted a few spots with a white gel pen. The swirl on the polka dot paper is a portion of a Zva Creative Flourish...I just love those for adding some bling!

The inside is simple and leaves some room for writing.

Supplies:
Stamps:
Grad Anya DS (The Greeting Farm,) Starlight Starbright, Happy Thoughts (Verve)
Paper: Textured Red Card (DVWV,) White CS,
Bitty Dot Basics (PTI)
Ink: Ruby Red (SU,) Printer
Misc: Zva Creative
Flourish & Jet Bling, Prima Pixie Flower, White Gel Pen, Stitched Ribbon, Paper Piercer, Circle Nesties, Koh-i-noor Pencils & OMS

Anya in Pink...

When women are depressed, they eat or go shopping. Men invade another country. It's a whole different way of thinking. -Elayne Boosler

I needed a large format card for a birthday celebration at work today. I grabbed my Miss Anya set and had to decide between the Purse carrying Miss Anya or the Shopping Anya, they were both perfect for the recipient! I decided to go with the Shopper, the Birthday Girl is a Big shopper and always wears the cutest matchy outfits and shoes and jewelry. She also loves Pink, so I grabbed my pad of Bittersweet paper by Basic Grey, my Copics and went to work.

The swirls and crocheted flower seemed perfect with a Glazed Brad in the flower. The inside just has a simple sentiment since so many people needed to sign it. After passing the card around for signatures I picked up 5 card orders!!!

Supplies:
Stamps: Miss Anya (The Greeting Farm) BO'd...expected back in stock June 10th
Paper: Bittersweet (Basic Grey,) Mocha CS (Memory Box,) White (PTI)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento,) Copic Markers
Misc: Crocheted Flower, Branch Punch (Martha Stewart,) Stardust Stickles, Rosy Pink Flourish E, White Gel Pen

Don't forget to thank a Vet! I try to remember to call my Grandma every Memorial Day and thank her for her tireless work as an Air Force wife, it has to be hard! This card was also inspired by this week's Cupcake, I actually made this one first, but then I decided to add the Kraft to the other one to bring in the cake part of the cupcake.

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #8...

In honor of Memorial Day and all our active, reserve, retired and fallen Heroes this week's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge is a Gorgeous, Red, White and Blue cupcake with some delicious Fondant decorations...

Remember, go where ever your muse takes you, if you have not use for a Red, White and Blue card, feel free to just use the shapes of the decorations...or maybe use the colors, but no stars. I do not ever argue with Inspiration! :)

If you do find inspiration from this cupcake please link your creation in the comment section on this post and use code CIC8 if you upload to a public gallery!

I'll be back with a picture of my card, which fits this challenge, my Friday Blogger's Challenge and the Stamp Simply #88 challenge of Red, White and Blue. My camera died, I went and bought a new one, came home and unlike my last camera, which held Quite a few picture internally, this new one Requires a Memory Card...which I do not have. So, as soon as I round up a Memory Card I will take and post a pic.

ETA: Here is my Card sample....

Here is the Stunning sample Jessica made...

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!
