I was looking at my new Bubbles stamp from Elzybells the other day thinking what I could use it for Besides with the Rubadubdub set and thought....Maybe a Fish? But what fish??? I colored the fishy with Copic markers, added some dots with a White Gel Pen and then strategically added some Stardust Stickles...the Bubbles stamp is highlighted with Waterfall Stickles and I used Dew Drops for the fishy's air bubbles. I had no matching ribbon so I colored some White Grosgrain with Copics.

Stamps: Down by the Farm (The Greeting Farm,) Bubbles (Elzybells)
Paper: Soft Sky, Tangerine (SU,) White (PTI)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento,) Copic Markers

Happiness is like a butterfly which, when pursued, is always beyond our grasp, but, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you. -Nathaniel Hawthorne

I finished off the image panel with a punched scallop strip and some pearl stickers.

Stamps: Susie Surprise (The Greeting Farm)
Paper: Porcelain (Basic Grey,) White (PTI,) Orange, Blue, Green & Pink (SU)

Alter It Challenge...

We must not allow other people's limited perceptions to define us. -Virginia Satir

This week's Blogger's Challenge was to *Alter It.* I thought I would show you what I recently did to liven up my button storage...

A friend who is lucky enough to live near an Ikea was sweet enough to grab me some really Amazing little mini candy jars, they have a flat bottom and a flat spot on the side so you can tip them a little like an Old Fashioned Candy Jar. I participated in a PTI Button Share and got a little of a Lot of colors (I can already tell I will need a Lot more, even though I don't use them much...LOL!!!) and I wanted to keep them seperate and labeled by color.

I made these pretty simple so I can still easily open the jar and get to the goodies...I just punched a scallop circle out of Kraft, then printed the colors on White CS and punched each one out. I used an ink color that was Close to the PTI color...I only have Spring Moss so far, must workon getting more!!! The I tied a little piece of ribbon (again, just tried to get close to the PTI color) to the top of the tag and then adhered them to the lids with Glue Dots.

As soon as I get my last book case set up I will have these lined up all pretty on a shelf of their own, until then they are stacked in a tiny space I have free on a shelf by my desk...I MUST get my office in order...SOON!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Elzybells Release and Sharp as a Tack...

My aim is to put down on paper what I see and what I feel in the best and simplest way. -Ernest Hemingway

It's RELEASE DAY!!! I hope you have enjoyed the sneak peeks we had this week, I certainly had a blast playing with all the new stuff and have Many more projects left to show and stamp. Today I have some simple CAS style cards to show you. One of the things I love about Elzybells is the sentiments, Elizabeth has a great way with words and I love the fonts she uses as well. Whether it is a sentiment set, single or the sentiments included in image sets, I get So much use out of these stamps.

Continuing with my
Porcelain Paper and Verve sketch theme this week I did a simple Thank You card using a new sentiment, I omitted Just the word Thanks and it fit perfectly in the punched circle along with the flower from Best Things. The sketch had a twist of *White Space* (kind of difficult for me not to cover up all that white paper, but I liked it in the end.)

For the second card I used a Fabriano Mediovalis card and some left ove strips of Porcelain paper. The sentiment is Wonderful, I really LOVE the new Best Things sentiment set! I simply punched the paper with the Embossed Zig Zag punch, added a Hand Crocheted flower (Coming soon to HSE!) and a Build-a-Brad with another scrap of Porcelain paper inside.

This card ended up being Perfect for the new
Scribble This Challenge on Lisa's blog, I used the Unsharp Mask on my Photoshop and I think you can Really see a diffference on this card, it didn't make the edges funky, but it really brought out the dots and the edges of the zig zag, as well as the individual threads in the flower...

Here is the original photo....

And here is the final result...the only changes were the Unsharp Mask and the edge fading...

Supplies:
Stamps:
Great Thanks, Best Things (Elzybells)
Paper:
Fabriano Mediovalis, Porcelain (Basic Grey,) White (PTI)
Ink: Cat's Eye Chalk
Misc: Hand Crocheted Flower, Build-a-Brad,
Zva Swirls (cut to fit,) Jewel Stickers, MS Crafts Embossed Zig Zag Punch

Thanks for stopping by! Now GO SHOP!!! :)

Fishing Father...

Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after. ~Henry David Thoreau
I thought I had better get this up before any more time goes by, this was the card I made for Father's Day and last week's SFYTT, but my camera was dead and the one I took to work to photograph got mailed before I remembered to snap a pic. I luckily made 2 of the same, so I can Finally post my (Friday) Blogger's Challenge! :)

I used Archaic paper for this card because I thought this plaid looked like about 100 of my Dad's shirts! :) The image and sentiments are all Elzybells...

A pretty simple inside, I just cut along one of the waves in the paper...

Supplies:
Stamps: Fishing Ted, Father's Day, Thanks for Everything (Elzybells)
Paper: Archaic (Basic Grey,) Textured Card (DCWV,) White (PTI)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento,) Copic Markers, Soft Sky (SU)

Ready for a Sneak Peek???

The time to relax is when you don't have time for it. -Sydney Harris

It's that time of month again...My Favorite Time...New Stamp Time!!! I will be showing you some yummy sneak peeks today thru Wednesday when the stamps will be available for purchase at the Elzybells site. I LOVE this release!! There are some wonderful sentiments and super cute girls!!

I started with the new Rubadubdub set, I just love the happy, calm look Elzy's face...I want to go have a bubble bath right now!

I paired the image with Porcelain paper from Basic Grey, I like the soft colors and the pattern on this paper sort of mirrors the bubbles to me. The layout is for Viva la Verve June Week 2, a sketch with a twist of using NEW stuff, can't get much newer than an unreleased stamp, right!? ;)

I colored the image with Copic Markers and a Silver Metallic Pencil for the feet of the tub and the radio...
For the inside I chose a sentiment from the new Sentiments set, this will get used A LOT I can tell!

Supplies:
Stamps: Sentiments, Rubadubdub (Elzybells)
Paper: Porcelain (Basic Grey,) Textured CS (Archivers,) White (PTI)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento,) Copic Markers, Blush Blossom, So Saffron (SU)
Misc: Metallic Pencil, Stardust Stickles, Top Note Die, Dew Drops

If you love sentiments like I love sentiments you will LOVE this week's Bundle at Elzybells, a HUGE bundle of sentiments for a SUPER low price!!!

As I was thinking about the Yellow, Peach and Purple daisies on the cupcakes I remembered the Felt Coasters I had gotten at Michael's in the $1 section...I used one on this card when I bought them and luckily I still had a few left.

I cut the scallops off the edges, mounted it on a textured card cut with a Square Nestie, covered the whole thing with Stickles and then added a few Bridal Flowers I colored with Copics. I added a few Glitter Brads and I was done!

Supplies:
Stamps: None
Paper: Textured Card (DCWV)
