I have a disease...

Hand Down, Mouth Shut -Chris Gale

Yes, I have a disease, it is a debilitating disease and very pervasive across the world...it is called Can't-Say-No-itis, and I have a Bad case of it right now! Not only can I not say No, I now have this terrible side effect called Offering-to-do-Stuff-osis!!!

So, on top of a full time job, a house, a nearly 6 year old boy, an online business, a blog, a weekly challenge, a Design Team and my normal card orders for friends and family I also Volunteered to make 2 Gift Card Holders for a luncheon tomorrow. I volunteered 2 weeks ago and the gal is picking them up this evening...can you guess when I made them????? YEP, 11:30 last night!

I was frantically searching for a template to make the kind that have a little center holder when you open it up, the kind you punch with your word window punch!?! I found lots of pictures, but no measurements or templates, BUT, I was lucky enought to stumble on THIS tutorial for a Gift Card Holder made from and envelope...yep, an Envelope!

Here is what I cam up with using paper from the June Bug 6x6 Pad, some ribbon, pearl and jewel stickers and solid paper from the Lemonade Pack. The sentiment on the inside is from The Greeting Farm Sentiments set.

Supplies:
Stamps: Sentiments (The Greeting Farm)
Paper: A2 White Envelopes, Lemonade & June Bug (Basic grey
Ink: Ruby Red, Pretty in Pink (SU)
Misc: Pearl & Jewel Stickers, Ribbon

Thanks for stopping by!

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #17...

We are each of us in this world an angel with only one wing. In order to fly we must embrace each other. -Cassandra Reed
I'm back with some Sweet Inspiration! This week's cupcake is brought to us by DeliciousDelights via Flickr...and they are Delicious and Delightful for sure!!

I love the super bright hues paired with chocolate and the flowers on the cuppies are spot on for us paper crafters, they look so much like so many punches and flowers available to us!!

Here is what I created, I was inspired by the bright colors, the brown of the dark chocolate cupcake and the flowers. I used Fly Away by The Greeting Farm, I have been Itching to ink this baby up...I LOVE it!!!

I masked the balloon and added the clouds, after coloring the balloon with the Bright colors (when Copic says Shock Pink, they mean SHOCK Pink) I added some stickles, then outlined the clouds with a Sakura Stardust Pen (there Is a silver lining in those clouds!!) The layout is the sketch from Eat Sleep Stamp this week...

I used sentiment from the new Butterfly Wishes set for the inside, I thought it worked Perfectly with this image after I omitted the butterfly that is also on the stamp...Supplies:
Stamps: Fly Away & Butterfly Wishes (The Greeting Farm
Paper: Dark Chocolate & White CS (PTI,) Lemonade (Basic Grey)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento,) Copic Markers, White Craft Ink
Misc: Stardust Stickles, Pearl Dots, Felt Flowers Cozy and Cool, Polka Dot Ribbon, Sakura Stardust Pen

Wonderful Release Day...

A memory lasts forever, Never does it die. True friends stay together And never said goodbye. -Unknown

It's Release Day!!! I hope you have enjoyed the sneak peeks I have shared with you as much as I enjoyed playing with these stamps! Each and every Elzybells release has it's own feel and personality and this one was definitely Playful and Fun!

I want to say a quick THANK YOU to Elizabeth for giving me the opportunity to work with her and her images...being an Elzybelle has been a Very wonderful experience and I'll never forget it! So with this final Sneak I will say goodbye to my Fellow Elzybelles and to Elizabeth, but certainly not to Elzybells stamps! I will remain a Huge fan and customer and eagerly await all the new things Elizabeth has up her sleeves!!

I used this week's SCS Sketch challenge for the layout...but the third square didn't fit, so I am not sure the Sketch Police would count this one. :) The papers are all Marrakech by Basic Grey, each flip flop has a little jewel on the strap and is covered with Stickles...nothing is done without Glitter, right? :) The scalloped bottom is a Martha Stewart punch and each little hole is covered with more jewels...

The extra square fit just fine on the inside! :) The sentiment is from the new set Swirly Greetings...
Supplies:
Stamps: Flip Flop single, Swirly Greeting set (Elzybells)
Paper: Marrakech (Basic Grey,) White CS (PTI)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento,) Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Sky (SU)
Misc: Jewels, Scallop Dot Punch, Stickles

Thanks for stopping by! All the new release stamps should be available midday UK time, so run over to Elzybells and pick up some of these adorable summer stamps!!! And check out what all the other lovely ladies created with the new stamps...links are on the sidebar! ---------->

Nice Board Brah...

You can either ride the wave or suck the surf. -Joe Caruso
Another sneak peek...tomorrow is release day!!! :)

A very simple card today...Clean and Simple. I used this week's CAS challenge (Orange, Turquoise and Yellow) for the colors and went simple. This was in my head since I saw this set, I don't think it cam out Quite like I had planned, but it is still fun!!

One of the things I love about this set are the fun images that can be used to decorate your board...they can also be used for accents, boarders and images all alone, but they are so fun to use for customized board. I used the swirl border on all three boards and just colored them differently, the plan was to make them look like they were all propped up against each other just waiting for somebody to grab and ride...

Supplies:
Stamps: Surf's Up (Elzybells)
Paper: White, Kraft CS
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento,) Copic Markers
Misc: Stardust Stickles

Thanks for stopping by, come back tomorrow for my last Sneak Peek with Elzybells!

Beach Babe...

Don't grow up too quickly, lest you forget how much you love the beach. -Unknown

Surf's Up Dudes!!!! :) Ready for another little sneaky peeky?? I have been having a blast playing with these new releases! Hope you are enjoying the peeks!

Today I went Bright! It is summer and it is HOT so I pulled out this Sweet Surfer Girl and went bright. I used Lime Rickey paper, which didn't call to me when I first saw it, but has grown on me as I use it with fun images that need that touch of WOW. I used the Weekend Sketch Challenge for the layout (flipped it vertically) and colored her with Copics. You might notice that Elzy looks a Touch different this time around, a little more Teen than little girl...she is growing up a little I think!

No sentiment on the inside, just a touch of color and a few little swirl "waves" along the bottom...

Supplies:
Stamps: Surfer Girl (
Elzybells)
Paper: Lime Rickey (
Basic Grey,) White CS (PTI,) Textured Card (DCWV)
Ink:
Tuxedo Black (Memento,) Copic Markers
Misc:
Sakura Stardust Pen, Foam Adhesive Dots, Deep Lagoon Jewel Sticker, Crystal Dots (colored with Copics to match,) Stardust Stickles

Make sure and come back tomorrow for another peek...the new stamps will be available Thursday on the
Elzybells Site! In the mean time make sure and check out what the other Elzybelles are up to, links are on the sidebar over there ----------->
