Celebrate Good Times...

And there's a hand my trusty friend! And give us a hand o' thine! And we'll take a right good-will draught, for auld lang syne. -Traditional WOW, the last day of 2009! I hope it was a wonderful year for all of you, it was pretty good for me! I have some plans for 2010 (eat healthier, spend wiser and stamp/blog more) not really resolutions, but just a plan to make a better effort and think about things.

I made this card for a few challenges, this week's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge, this week's Blogger's Challenge (Celebrate, posting a day early...I won't be around tomorrow,) Charisma Cardz, Three Clovers Designs and Cupcake Craft Challenge (all Celebrate!)

I chose the colors & the streamers from the cupcake as my inspiration. The stamp is a Penny Johnson image by Stampavie, I just love that cute little mouse and his party! :) The patterned paper is a strip from the Plastino Bits-a-Bella paper, Love those colors!!! I added a little line of Zva Pearls on the side and glittered it all up with Stardust Stickles.

I used another strip of the paper on the inside with a simple Birthday sentiment from Inkadinkado...

Happy Christmas Eve!!!

Until one feels the spirit of Christmas, there is no Christmas. All else is outward display--so much tinsel and decorations. For it isn't the holly, it isn't the snow. It isn't the tree, not the firelight's glow. It's the warmth that comes to the hearts of men when the Christmas spirit returns again. -Anonymous
Hope you all are having a Wonderful Christmas Eve and that your chores are done, your food made, your gifts wrapped and that you were not forced to enter any kind of shopping establishment today!

My food is half done, my gifts mostly wrapped other than some little stuff that can wait until after the kiddo is snug in his bed. My house is as clean as it is going to get and I didn't leave the house today! All in all I think it turned out better than I had feared. :) I even had time to sit down and decorate a little box of Chocolate Raspberry Sticks for my Father. I used this week's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge as a jumping off point, working with Red, Green, White and Holly (my Favorite Christmas motif.) My colors ended up being more muted than the inspiration piece, but I am so happy with how this looks!!! This also works for this week's Stamp Something Challenge, Holiday Somethings.

I used an older Imaginisce paper for the wrap, then added a Zva Swirl, a Making Memories Holly Brad and a simple stamped sentiment. It was super easy and quick, but I don't think you would guess it by looking. ;)

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful, warm and safe Holiday!!

Family...

Other things may change us, but we start and end with family -Anthony BrandtWOW, a week, really....I only have a WEEK to get all of this Christmas stuff done!?!?!?!

I took a little time out for myself and got some crafting done, Say It With Letters has some GORGEOUS words available to alter. I got the word FAMILY the other day and pulled out some gorgeous Daisy D paper to pretty it up. I use Decoupage Gel...have you used this stuff??? It is Amazing, I love it SO much better than Mod Podge, it never gets tacky after it dries and it sticks SO well! After I attached the paper and it dried (another thing I LOVE about this gel is that is dries SO fast!) I sponged the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink to tone down the white background. I then added Stickles to the flowers and then tied on some random brown ribbons and Dark Chocolate Vintage Buttons on every other letter and then Prima flowers adorned with more buttons on the other letters.

Sorry the pictures aren't perfect, I took the pics at night and the lighting was not great...they are 100% better IRL!

Quick Money Holders...

When it snows, you have two choices: shovel or make snow angels. -UnknownI think you have all figured out by now that my Mojo is running on empty and I have had no stamping time/energy! My Mom asked me a few days ago to get her 6 cards...by today. Since I can't say no, I decided first things first, I would go through my stash and see what I already had! Luckily, I had 2 birthday cards that would work for little boys and a card that would work for a New Home...that just left 3 money holders. Last year I went All Out on money holders (you can see them Here and Here) but this year I just didn't have it in me. Hopefully my Mom won't mind a pared down version....
These are Super easy to make, I cut 3 sheets of textured cardstock to 4 1/4" x 7" then scored then at 1 1/2" and 4 1/2" then I just added a panel of white stamped with the snowflake and sentiment from Keep Cozy, some bling and some sponging. The inside "money holder" part is glued along the edge, then held tight with some glitter brads and it is all held closed with some velcro dots.

I used Blue, White and Silver on all three for this week's Three Clovers Designs Challenge. Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget, you have until tonight at 9 pm to comment on all the Secret Sweetie Blog Hop posts for a chance to win the Blog Sweets!!!

Secret Sweetie Blog Hop...

A hug is the perfect gift--one size fits all, and nobody minds if you exchange it.-Ivern Ball
Welcome to a very Sweetie Christmas Hop! The Hope Stamps Eternal Sweeties have a big reveal to share with you today. A few weeks back we were each assigned a secret sweetie who in turn made us gifts and sent them to us to ring in the holidays. During this hop you will see what each of the sweeties put together for their recipient and reveal who they made it for.

Make sure to comment on each blog because one lucky person will be the winner of some yummy blog candy! Start here and then follow the hop to the next blog, commenting along the way to make sure you get as many chances as possible for the Sweets!! I'll pick a random winner Tuesday at 9 pm!

I put this package together for Natalie, I hope she liked it!!

I decorated a super fun scalloped edge box by Provo Craft, I used Jolly by Golly Paper (sponged
with Old Paper Distress Ink) and Chipboard. I stickled the holly and added a little Zva swirl, then stamped a little Merry Christmas sentiment on the top. Finished off with some ribbon and filled it up with some goodies! (I can't remember Everything I threw in, but I tried to keep it all Green, Red or Pink. There was some Zva Flowers, a Clear Stamp Set, a pad of Christmas Post-its and some Crystal Snowflakes.)

As I was making this box I really had last week's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge on my mind, but had to wait to show you today, LOL...it does work for this week's Pink Elephant Challenge (Winter or Christmas Theme) and Pile it On's Chipboard Challenge.

Next up, hop on over to see Teresa and see what she created for her Sweetie!
