Fall To Cupcakes...

This very moment is a seed from which the flowers of tomorrow's happiness grow. -Margaret Lindsey

You are probably wondering what this card has to do with cupcakes...but it really does! This card was inspired by this week's Cupcake Inspiration piece, I loved the bright colors and flowers. I used this week's Fall To Layout and went Very literal, I almost CASED the sketch to a T....but failed to see where the sentiment was supposed to go until after I had stamped it on my image panel...
I used Basic Grey Green at Heart paper and paired it with Melon Berry and a bright green from DCWV, the button is Hibiscus Burst. The stamp is from an older CTMH set, I colored it with Copic markers then added LOTS of Stardust Stickles for this week's Creative Cottage challenge (Sparkle.)

For the inside I used a small strip of the striped paper, punched with the Upper Crest punch like the front...
Supplies:
Stamps: CTMH & Stampavie
Paper: Green at Heart (Basic Grey,) Textured Card (DCWV,) Melon Berry & White (PTI)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento,) Copic Markers
Misc: Vintage Button, Embroidery Floss, Upper Crest Border Punch, Stardust Stickles

Challenges:
Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #52
Fall to Layout #84
Creative Cottage: Sparkle

Poppy Bloggers Challenge...

A weed is no more than a flower in disguise. -Unknown Another Friday, another Bloggers Challenge, I tell you...without challenges I wouldn't stamp lately! This week's chellenge was a sketch, I had an image all colored up for my card to go with this paper...one of the super cute Darling Sisters images in a an orange and purple dress, but then I looked at the sketch and realized there was no way it would fit. :) It's ok...because the orange and purple dress was not the best idea!!! LOL I used Polka Dot Spring Moss ribbon and some Melon Berry buttons so this card works for another entry in Lisa's Poppy Seeds Challenge also!!

I Love how well the background of this particular sheet of the Green at Heart paper works with Kraft cardstock...

The inside uses the same sentiment I have used for the last 10-20 cards...LOL :) (I have more on order, but Stampavie is sold out currently SORRY!) I added a Retro Flower punch and then added some liquid pearls to the center.

Supplies:
Stamps: Stampavie Sentiment
Paper: Green at Heart (Basic Grey,) Melon Berry & Kraft CS (PTI)
Ink: Rich Cocoa (Memento)
Misc: Prima Flowers, Crystal, Buttons, Ribbon, Retro Flower Punch, Liquid Pearls, Scrapper's Floss

Challenges:
Blogger's Challenge: Sketch

Poppy Seeds: Buttons, Polka Dots, Light Moss

Fairy Thanks...

Spread your wings and let the fairy in you fly! ~Author UnknownHello again...please don't expire from shock that I am posting twice this week already! I know it is hard to believe that I am stamping, but you can make it past the shock to see the card, right??? :)A co-worker asked me for a thank you card with Tinkerbell on it a few weeks ago...and I finally got one done! I went online and looked for free digi files and found this super cute image on Fairy Coloring Pages...the recipient of the card is a brunette so I didn't make her the typical blond Tink. I used a tutorial from Copic Creations on how to color hair...I always go with this technique for any dark hair.
I used the New, Gorgeous, Springy Kioshi papers from Basic Grey, the scalloped oval and strip behind the ribbon are polka dotted, but you can't see that very well! I used Mercy's sketch and subbed the oval for the tilted rectangle.
For the inside I used a scrap of the Polka Dotted paper and my new Favorite sentiment from Stampavie (Sold out right now, but on order!!!)

Supplies:
Stamps: Free Digi Image, Sentiments (Stampavie)
Paper: Kioshi (Basic Grey,) Spring Moss, Sweet Blush, White (PTI)
Ink: Rich Cocoa (Memento,) Printer, Copics
Misc: Vintage Button, Stitched Edge Ribbon, Crocheted Flower, Pearls, Stickles, Adhesive Foam

Challenges:
Mercy's Sketch
Poppy Paperie #2
(Buttons, Polka Dots & Light Moss)

Spring Butterflies...

Flowers and butterflies drift in color, illuminating spring. ~Author Unknown
Happy Spring! Saturday here in Boise was the perfect Spring day...warm, sunny and breezy, a perfect day to spend outside. Yesterday was a bit cooler and ended with rain, but really a very Springy weekend, hope yours was as nice!!!

For this week's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge and Blogger's Challenge (Spring) I decided to go with the butterflies and the turquoise from the cupcakes, I love the new KaiserCrafts Devonshire paper and the swirls on this turquoise paper were calling out for some butterflies. I used my new embossed butterfly die from SU and added some stickles and pearls to add a few details, but I wanted the focus to be on the beautiful paper and the butterflies.

I added a piece of a lacey scalloped diecut from the paper pack and a sentiment from Stampavie to finish it off...

Another diecut border and a few small butterflies add just a touch to the inside of the card...
Supplies:
Stamps: Sentiments (Stampavie)
Paper: Devonshire (KaiserCrafts,) Textured Card (DCWV,) Vanilla (PTI)
Ink: Rich Cocoa (Memento)
Misc: Pearls, Stickles, Embossed Butterfly Die (SU,) MS Crafts Butterfly Punch

Challenges:
Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #51
Pink Elephant (Spring)
Crazy 4 Challenges (Spring)
Blogger's Challenge (Spring)
Caardvarks (Lace) ~Hoping this counts, it is Faux lace on the diecut border bit~

Irish Elegance...

May your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.
~Irish Blessing

Top o' the Mornin' to ya! I was very happy to get some time to sit down and create this weekend! I really wanted to use my new Pink Pailsee paper and I found this Stunning green sheet in the 365 Degrees pad that I knew would work Perfectly for this week's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. I paired it with some gorgeous 1.25" Silk Ribbon, the colors are Perfect! I was going to add a white rose to the bow, but after adding a strip of an embossed wedding invite and some pearls I wanted a splash of unexpected color. I knew pink wouldn't work, because I wanted to stick with the Irish feel. I simply colored my Sweet Blossom with a Copic Marker and Voila! a true Irish color combo! Erin Go Braugh!!!

Supplies:
Stamps: none
Paper: 365 Degrees (Pink Paislee,) Fern (a muse,) Embossed Lace Wedding Invite (Martha Stewart,)
Ink: Copic Marker (for Rose)
Misc: Sweet Blossom 3/4" Pink (colored with Copic Marker,) Zva Pearls, Silk Ribbon

Challenges:
Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #50
Fussy & Fancy: Green
Raise the Bar: Go Green
Clearly iStamp: Think Green

Thanks for stopping by!
