Remember...

I big Thank You to all of our heroes, we owe you all a Huge Debt!!
In memory of my Grandfather...
High Flight
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of—wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there,
I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air....
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark nor even eagle flew—
And, while with silent lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Late Challenge Card...

I am invariably late for appointments - sometimes as much as two hours. I've tried to change my ways but the things that make me late are too strong, and too pleasing. -Marilyn Monroe
If you know me, you know that I am procrastinator...Big Time...well, this time I procrastinated a tad too long, but I'm posting my card anyway!

I made this card for this week's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge (Procrastinators Unite...you have until 9 pm MT tonight to play along) and for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, which is over...Oops! :) I used a large Zva Swirl that I had already cut a piece off of...I used what was left, rearranging the swirls to make them fit on the card. The paper is KaiserCraft Peachy Keen...

More Peach Keen paper for the inside...

Paper: KaiserCraft Peachy Keen, Vanilla, DCWV Textured Card

Get your Sun Glasses...

Summer is the time when one sheds one's tensions with one's clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit. A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief that all's right with the world. ~Ada Louise Huxtable

This is Bright!! I used my new Cosmo Cricket DeLovely paper and a Super sweet image from Mo's Digital Pencil...don't you just love those chubby baby legs and that adorable face???!?!?!

I used Mercy's Sketch for the layout of the card and just added a punched border and a simple bow tied with a button. I didn't want to get Too fancy so it will work for a boy, since I didn't put the little swimsuit top on to make it a girl. The water is shiny from Diamond Glaze and I added a touch of Stickles to the ball and tube.
For the inside I used my Super versatile Swirly Greetings from Elzybells with a little star in between the words (because I stamped the first ones too far over ;) LOL)...
Supplies:
Stamps: Summer Digi Image by Mo's Digital Pencil
Paper: White & Black CS, Cosmo Cricket DeLovely
Ink: Copic Markers, Computer Printer
Misc: Stickles, White Grosgrain Ribbon. Button, Embroidery Floss, Diamond Glaze, Pop Dots

My recent Mother's Day card was chose as one of the Top 3 at Raise the Bar and I get to be a Guest Bar-Tender this week! I was so excited to have my card picked...and who doesn't want to Bar-Tend for a week!?!?!?!

This week's challenge is to be inspired by your favorite Purse, Tote Bag or Handbag...you can even find one on the internet if you don't have one that calls out to you "Make me into a Card!!!"

I have had this little woven tote for Years as my Summer bag...I think I got it for $12 at Target!!! I love the little line of beaded flowers!

I didn't have beads, so I just added Stickles to make them shimmer and shine. The sketch for this week's Fall to Layout was Perfect for this inspiration piece so I used that for my layout...
