Clean and White...

Each day provides its own gifts. -Proverb
No, not my bathroom, it is neither clean nor white, but if you would like to come do it for I would be much obliged! :) I am selling some stamps of mine and told a friend I would post her's as well. So she sent me home with a bag of stuff to sell...but in that bag i found some Papertrey ink sets and well, I can't let anyone else have them! :) So I grabbed Beautiful Blooms and started playing! (There were a few that were duplicates of stuff I had and those are up for grabs HERE)

I decided to use this week's Clean and Simple Fall-To Layout and leave a lot of white space on my card...this gorgeous foliage really doesn't need much other than a little bling. :)

Cupcake Chloe...

Last week the candle factory burned down. Everyone just stood around and sang Happy Birthday. -Stephen Wright

Hello! Happy Sunday...I think it is Sunday, right? I am having one of those weeks...and now I think I am getting a cold! UGH

Holly Peace...

Green, slender, leaf-clad holly boughs Were twisted gracefu' round her brows, I took her for some Scottish Muse, By that same token, An' come to stop those reckless vows, Would soon be broken. -Robert Burns
This week's Blogger's Challenge was to use Red, Green and Yellow...Ummmmmmmm, Yikes, So not my colors. I don't know when the last time I used Yellow was. So I sat and I thought and pulled colors from here and there and stared at my stamps. Then I gave up. Then I saw my pre-stamped image stack and right on top was a Papertrey Ink Holiday Button Bits holly image in Ripe Avocado and a bell went off in my head. After a little Basic Grey Wassail paper and some buttons, this is what I ended up with...

Fairy Dust Box...

Butterflies are self propelled flowers. ~R.H. Heinlein
This week's Woodware USA Challenge is to make a Back to School project that is Anything But a Card...I ordered School Tots, but not in time to play with them for this project (I am a Master Procrastinator. ;) I decided to make a little Chocolate filled gift for a friend that is starting College classes...who doesn't need chocolate for class? I used Fairy Tots and decorated a DieCuts & More Circle Window Square Box...it is so easy, it is all cut out, scored and the window is done...all I did was stamp the butterflies and add the acetate! The stamped image didn't show up well against the bright colored candy, so I added a little Polka Dot Embossed circle of white paper behind it, letting a little of the acetate still show so the candy peeks out... I filled the box with some fun bright colored Sixlets that were leftover from a Pinata stuffing. I knew when I saw them in these bright fun colors that I wanted to use them for a crafty project. Here is a close up of the flowers, ribbon and image... Supplies:
Stamps: Fairy Tots (Woodware USA)
Paper: DieCut Box, Acetate, White CS

Purple Rose...

A single rose can be my garden... a single friend, my world. -Leo Buscaglia
Hello there! Sorry I have been so quiet lately...I had company from Norway for a week and then my power, TV and Internet were down for 2 days!!! ACK!

I finally got a moment to stamp a sample for Sunday's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. I have wanted to try the technique where you emboss a line art flower and then drip in some paint...I think I chose the wrong paper to work with, but overall I am pretty happy with the results...
Of course, it is a birthday card, more for my Grandma's pile! :)

Stamps: Roses in Bloom (Waltzing Mouse,) Swirly Greetings (Elzybells)

Rainbow Ice Cream...

What's the point of havin' a rapier wit if I can't use it to stab people? -Jeph JacquesThis week's Woodware USA Challenge is to use your favorite technique. If I have a technique in stamping it would be Coloring with Copics...is that a technique? I always think of Batiking or Bleach Stamping or Heat Embossing as a Technique...but I don't do those things, so I guess coloring is the best I've got! ;)

I used the Birthday Fun set and made a yummy bowl of delicious Pistachio, Strawberry and Chocolate Ice Cream! Mmmmm, summer time treat! The polka dot paper is the last of the last 8x8 sheet I had of this delicious green polka dot paper, I added a scalloped piece of felt to extend the green below the image to match the sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You...

A small scrap of the larger scrap of my Favorite Christmas paper ever, Good Cheer by October Afternoon (I am hoarding it so badly!!!) went on the inside, cut with my new MFT Dienamics Small Scallop Border...

How to make a 7 Year Old Happy...

Or...Dinosaurs, Cupcakes and Green...

And it sure did make him happy!! :) Yesterday was my son's 7th Birthday and he requested Green Dinosaur cupcakes. I made box cake cupcakes, colored the frosting green and then printed up some dino clip art. I punched them out and layered them on a scallop punched piece with a toothpick in between, Voila, Dinosaur cupcakes! ;)

And in other birthday news, I have a Card! I have many birthdays coming up And need to get some more Birthday cards to my Grandma, so you will be seeing a lot of Birthday stuff around here for awhile!

I started this card on my Girl's Retreat last weekend and just had to finish up some details once I got home, added the black roses and the gem in her hair along with some stickles on her skull shirt. The layout is for the Farm Fresh Friday Sketch last week.

For the inside I used just a Slice of a scrap of the PP and a sentiment from a retired TGF set...

It's Thursday and that means it's my turn to post on the Woodware USA Clear Stamps Blog! Make sure to check all of the blog posts for this week to see the Design team Challenge cards!

The challenge this week is Red, Turquoise and Kraft. I just recently received some of the new Papertrey Ink
Beautiful Blooms paper (Thanks Piali!) and thought it would be perfect!
