Fall Fairy...

No Spring nor Summer Beauty hath such grace, As I have seen in one Autumnal face. -John DonneHAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! Hope everyone's Holiday is going Ghoulishly Good!

This week's Cupcake Inspiration is moving on from Halloween and picking up the delicious colors and textures of Fall. We were sponsored this week by Woodware USA Clear Stamps, so I pulled out my little Fairy Tots and made a card inspired by the colors and flowers on the cupcake.

I used a recycled Product Catalog for the patterned paper, I had a few stuck away from when I had the stamp store and a few of them had samples of the paper on the front cover! This pattern is from the TPC Studio 2009 Catalog. :)

Here is a peek at the felt spiral flower I made. I just cut a scalloped Nestie circle of felt, then cut it into a spiral and wrapped it up...

Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento,) Copic Markers, White Pigment Ink

P.S.S. Just so you know, adults can Trick or Treat too! :) Here is the haul I got at work Friday during the Costume Parade around the office. :)

Purple Skull...

I don't mind if my skull ends up on a shelf as long as it's got my name on it. -Debbie Harry
This week's Blogger's Challenge is "Halloween" and you all know how much I Love Halloween! :) I am currently sitting at my desk wearing a Black Dress, Black Boots, Black & Purple Floppy, Felt Witch Hat and a Purple and Black Spider Web Cape!

I recently made a little Halloween Wall Decor for myself (that I may hang in my bedroon year round!) A friend saw the pictures and wanted a Purple one! I grabbed an 8" Unfinished Skull from Say it with Letters and went to work. I was out of spiderweb and bat rubons, so I used a Crow and just left the spiderwebs off the frame, but I think it still turned out pretty good. She seems to like it, so that is what matters most!

Stamps: None
Paper: SU Halloween Web Paper
Ink: Black Copic marker (to color crystal swirl)
Misc: Acrylic Paint, Glitter, Prima Crystal Swirl, Crow Rub On, 10" Square frame,

Happy Balloon...

who knows if the moon's
a balloon, coming out of a keen city
in the sky - filled with pretty people? -e.e. cummings

This week's Woodware USA Challenge is to use Halloween Colors. I actually don't have any Halloween stamps from Woodware (Can you Believe that???) so I decided to use Halloween Colors in a Non-Halloween way. I grabbed my Mixed Greetings and my Birthday Fun sets and made a quick, clean & simple card using one of my A Muse polka dot 4 bar cards.

I stamped the sentiment and the balloon straight onto the card, then I stamped the balloon onto a piece of Cream CS and colored it with Copic markers. I then paper pieced the balloon onto the card and added some Crystal Effects to make it shiny.

Here is a shot of the Crystal Effects...

Kitchen Green 4 Bar Card (a muse artstamps)

In Stitches...

A stitch in time would have confused Einstein -UnknownThis week's Woodware USA Challenge is Faux Stitching. I love this technique, but forget to pull out my Mat Stack! I'm glad this was the challenge...I may leave my Paper Piercer out on the desk for awhile!!

I had fun playing with the little flowers included in the Mixed Greetings set. I had a piece of leftover Kraft CS sitting on my table and it made a smaller than normal card, so the small scale flowers were perfect! My card base measures 3" x 4.25". I grabbed the color from a Pretty pair of Earrings at the Lemon Kissed Etsy shop (This week's Shop on Etsy Inspired Challenge.) Once I knew the color I wanted to use I saw my new Wistful Ribbon I won from Pixie Petals (through Etsy Inspired!! :D)

Poppy Birthday...

That we find a crystal or a poppy beautiful means that we are less alone, that we are more deeply inserted into existence than the course of a single life would lead us to believe. -John Berger This week's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge is sponsored by A Passion for Stamps...I went looking for a flower image to play along with this week's cuppie and had a hard time picking! I Love the Lily, the Two Roses, the Black Eyed Susan and sooo many more!!! Since I wanted to go with Black and a deep red orange I grabbed the Poppy! I printed 3 of the images, then colored one very minimally and one with depth and shadow. I cut up the fully colored one for the pop up portions (petals, leaves and bud.) Then I colored just the center petals of the third image and cut it out an curled it abit before I glued it on. I used a Prima Say It With Crystals embellishment in the center, then I added glitter to the petals...with Stickles, of course! :)

I am In Love with the New Frame It from Waltzing Mouse, can't Wait to grab them up, but for now I made my own...It was not Too hard, but I Definitely want the straight, even lines of the stamp!

I went pretty simple for the inside since the outside is soooo Clean & Simple...

Crazed Pumpkins...

There are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls. ~George Carlin
This week's Blogger's Challenge is a sketch. I wasn't sure what I was going to do until I saw these Imaginisce chipboard shapes sitting on my table. My son had been creating cards earlier and left a few for me. LOL :) I paired the crazy little jack-o-lanterns with some left over Making Memories Halloween paper from last year.

These guys look like they belong in straight jackets, don't they?

I used an old $1 stamp from Mike's to decorate the inside...
