Holly Tree...

The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other. ~Burton HillisHello! Hope you all had a Super Thanksgiving weekend...mine was long and wonderful, felt like a mini vacation! It was wonderful to spend time with Family and Friends...and I got to be lazy for 2 days! :) :)

Today's card is for this week's Woodware USA Challenge. This week the challenge is Anything Goes! :) Pretty easy, right? Just stop by the blog and link up your creation to be entered into the drawing for a prize at the end of the month! If you use Woodware Stamps, you get an extra entry!

I got the idea for this card from a card at Vigo Cards, the inspiration website for One Layer Wednesday. The inspiration card has a tree made of Polka Dots and is very orderly and geometric. I built my tree from Holly clusters from the Traditional Christmas Greetings set and it is anything but orderly! LOL :)

Decorate a Tree...

Perhaps the best Yuletide decoration is being wreathed in smiles. ~Unknown It's finally time to decorate for Christmas! I am Very strict about Not putting up Any Christmas lights or decor until after Thanksgiving! So now that Turkey is behind us I can't wait to start creating the Winter Wonderland that is Christmas at the Baird's! :)

One of my favorite wintry scenes is the quiet, lonely, empty forest, covered in a thick blanket of snow with one single pine tree all lit up with colorful Christmas lights. Have I ever actually Seen that in real life? No...but I have on computer wallpapers and Christmas cards, so I wanted to recreate that for my cards today.

This week's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge is sponsored by Amber Ink and the Sweeties and I got to play with the super Awesome Tis the Season! set. I love the wonky tree in this set! :) I used one of their new iPapers for the snowy sky in my scene as well...

One card wasn't enough this week, so I grabbed a recent digital image purchase and made another...this one all covered in pink...

I love this sentiment...

A Bushel of Thanks...

If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas. ~George Bernard Shaw Happy Friday All! It has been a LONG week for me, I am soooo tired and ready for the weekend!! Last night I sat down to make a Thank You card for this week's Blogger's Challenge and just sat there staring at my stamp table. Then I saw this little image sticking out from under a pile of Christmas paper. :) It was already colored, stickled and diecut! All I had to do was mount it on a card base and tie a bow! That is my kind of tired crafting!

I used the Apple Basket stamp I won from Denami Designs thru Etsy Inspired Challenge, Cut it out with a round Nestie, Mounted it on a Scallop Circle Nestie then added it to a 4.25" Square card embossed with the Argyle Cuttlebug Folder. I added some dimension to the embossing with White Craft Ink. Then I added a big bow with this Pretty Green ribbon...

For the inside I just added a 2nd Gen (stamp off the first layer of ink and use the residual for a softer look) stamped basket...
Supplies:
Stamps:
Apple Basket (Denami Designs,) Thanks Script (Memory Box)
Paper: Dark Chocolate, Vanilla (PTI,) Orangy Red CS (?)
Ink: Copic Markers, Soft Sky (SU,) Old Paper (Ranger Distress Ink,) Tuxedo Black, Rich Cocoa (Memento)
